July 10 138    Emperor Hadrian dies of heart failure at Baiae; he is buried at Rome in the Tomb of Hadrian beside his late wife, Vibia Sabina.

July 10 645    Isshi Incident: Prince Naka-no-Ōe and Fujiwara no Kamatari assassinate Soga no Iruka during a coup d'état at the imperial palace.[1]

July 10 988    The Norse King Glúniairn recognises Máel Sechnaill mac Domnaill, High King of Ireland, and agrees to pay taxes and accept Brehon Law; the event is considered to be the founding of the city of Dublin.

July 10 1086    King Canute IV of Denmark is killed by rebellious peasants.

July 10 2019   The last remaining Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) battalion based in the  city of Paderborn Germany  received one of the country's top military awards. 3 Armoured Close Support Battalion REME was given the Fahnenband ceremonial ribbon - the highest honour the German government can give a military unit. The Unit was leaving Germany after 25 years for Tidworth in Wiltshire
